The watchmaker who examines your piece is the same person you speak with. Nothing is delegated to an anonymous technician further down the line.

Pricing stated upfront

Each service has a fixed price shown on the site. Additions are discussed and agreed before they happen — not added to the bill at collection.

Conservative approach

We do not replace what can be kept. Originality in an older watch has value — patina, aged components, and period markings are treated as features, not faults.

Full documentation

Photography on arrival, written condition notes, and post-work records. Owners leave with more information about their piece than when they arrived.

Walk-in accessible

The studio is in Nimman — easy to find on foot or by songthaew. No appointment required for an initial conversation, though messaging ahead is welcomed.

Honest referral

If your watch needs work we cannot perform well — a full movement overhaul, for instance — we say so and point you elsewhere rather than attempt work we are not suited for.

The lead watchmaker at Tickhaus has worked on mechanical and vintage quartz watches for well over a decade. The studio was deliberately kept small so that experience stays concentrated rather than spread thin across services that don't connect to one another.

Watch repair is a hands-on discipline. Reading a movement, assessing a crystal fit, deciding what the dial surface will tolerate — these are judgements that take time to form. We don't shortcut them.

Tools & Setup

The right tools, used with purpose

The studio is equipped for the work it takes on. This means timing equipment, a controlled bench environment, and the materials needed to handle vintage components without damage. We do not invest in equipment to give the appearance of technical capacity — the tools are there because the work requires them.

Communication

Plain language, no pressure

Watch terminology can obscure as much as it clarifies. We explain what we found and what we suggest in ordinary language. If you want the technical detail, we're glad to go through it — but we don't assume you need or want a lecture.

Nothing starts without your understanding of what's planned. If your decision is to take the watch elsewhere or leave it as it is, that's respected without push-back.
